Reviews:

3.0    Oggs Cruz (Twitch)

Amorosa has so many elements to nitpick about. Yet I like it more than I should have. It’s probably one of Topel Lee’s stronger features.”

3.0     Ihcahieh

“It is somehow disappointing because underneath all the scare tactics, there is a simmering family drama waiting to be exploited to its full potential.” (Read full review)

3.0     Carl Joseph Papa (Whatever Carl)

“What I especially liked in the movie was the mother and son angle of the story.  I think that if that had been pushed more, the movie would have been better.” (Read full review)

2.5     Nicol Latayan (Tit for Tat)

“The potential with Amorosa was actually there. It just got lost with everything that is happening in the film.” (Read full review)

2.5     Jowana Bueser (The Birth of Damnation)

“The luminous Angel Aquino is the best thing about it but even her presence could not keep the movie afloat.” (Read full review)

2.5     Cinerama Etcetera

“In wanting to be different, it took a gamble, I’m just not sure whether or not it paid off.” (Read full review)

2.5     Manuel Pangaruy (Taga-ilog Special)

“Based on the crowd’s reaction, this template horror film works in most scenes. I like its being fast paced and the performances from the three leads, especially from Angel Aquino, are earnest enough. Though the vision is very clear, it has nothing new to offer.”

2.0    Cathy Peña (Make Me Blush)

“A convoluted plot replete with several intervening narrative strains makes this mostly incongruent flick a herculean cinematic experience.” (Read full review)

2.0     Dale Bacar (Bum-Spot)

“While sometimes laughable and silly, Amorosa succeeds in giving us characters that we can root for.” (Read full review)

2.0     Mark Angelo Ching (Pisara.me)

“The first minutes of Amorosa are fascinating. The spate of jump cuts and rough editing make the film feel like a dream, or a memory carefully recalled to confront the present. Sadly, director Topel Lee cannot sustain this style, and so his latest horror film takes a turn to narrative hell.” (Read full review)

1.5     Philbert Dy (Click the City)

Amorosa often looks very good, but it falls apart almost as soon as you start thinking about it.” (Read full review)

1.5     Mavin Reyes (Mavin Media Guru)

“The film is more of a compilation of all scenes that suggest that we are indeed watching a horror movie: self-opening doors, unexpected power interruptions, gardeners telling you about the ghost that haunts your house, flashbacks, groaning ghosts, etc.” (Read full review)
