Synopsis: The movie follows the lives of several families. Married couple Ben and Rose (Christopher de Leon and Lani Mercado) love each other very much, but struggle to find time to spend with each other. Rose begins to entertain thoughts with reuniting with an old flame. Emily (Dina Bonnevie) is having trouble with her kids. Her son Pax (Mavi Lozano) has become obsessed with a girl, making him act erratically. That girl is Carla (Valerie Concepcion) who has turned to a life of prostitution and casual sex to run away from her toxic home life. Their lives intersect as they each deal with their own demons. “I almost walked out after 15 minutes, particularly in a scene that involves a gay looking guy and his girlfriend dismissing pre-marital sex. He said that it’s a love triangle between them and God. The rest of the film is like that, saying no to abortion (good) and for a couple of times, preaching that condoms are not effective. That’s in between scenes that show the character praying ardently. The ‘sermon’ is difficult to swallow especially for a script that seems to challenge reality. The OFW mom for instance is shown putting $1,000 in a snail mail and the money reaches the daughter. There’s nothing much from the acting department either considering the presence of the likes of Christopher de Leon and Lani Mercado. Only exception perhaps is Dina Bonnevie who did great.”
